COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Coconut Porter is a classic robust porter spiced with all natural toasted coconut. It is black in color and crowned with a creamy, dark tan head. It begins with a malty-toasted-coconut aroma followed by a rich, silky mouthfeel with tastes of dark malt, chocolate, and hints of coffee. It then finishes with flavors of toasted coconut and hoppy spice to balance the finish.

Oh Man! This is another entry into the "i never imagined flavored beer could be this good" category. Toasty coconut smooth drinking goodness! Can’t wait until it’s available in the states!

Dark brown with dark tan head. Chocolate malt aroma. Malty sweet with coconut and chocolate notes. Slightly sweet finish. As it warms up and you get into the beer the coconut comes through more. Nice porter,

One of my favorite beer of all time. Really nice coffee, chocolate, and caramel flavors. Finishes with a somewhat sweet touch of coconut but not over the top sweetness. Really nice by can but tremendous by tap in Maui.

The aroma is typical of most of the porters that I’ve had; there is nothing extraordinary here. I expected the aroma of toasted coconut and was unfortunately disappointed. The appearance is black with a slight head. The taste is smooth and extremely drinkable. The palate is slightly sweet with an equally bitter underpinning. It is quite fully bodied, creamy, moderately carbonated with an even finish. Overall, I was say that this is an extremely drinkable beer.

Can from Petaluma Market. Jet black appearance, off white fluffy head. Aroma is burnt chocolate and coffee with a touch of coconut. Taste is bitter chocolate with a pretty minimal coconut. Slightly metallic but there is some coconut there. Decent enough.

Pours a nice dark black color with tan head. Coconut, cocoa, coffee, and some roasted malt on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a nice coconut note.

She’s pretty good, I guess. Honestly, I was hoping for a big coconut blast from this one considering the guy on the label is guzzling out of a coconut. It’s big, bold and pretty black with ruby highlights. LOos of great cocoa and coffee malts, some roasty bread and nuttiness....but where’s my damn coconut? Kind of a syrupy texture to it, very soft carbonation.

I tried this beer assuming that it would be an interesting, albeit unpalatably sweet beer, but it was surprisingly quaffable. The chocolatey bitterness was accentuated by the sweet coconut, which wasn’t too overwhelming.

Pours nearly opaque dark brown with hues of Indian red when held up to direct light source. Tan head. Smells like an Almond Joy. Clean malt bill with toasted oats. Toasted coconut becomes more dominant in the nose with a bit of warmth. A bit too carbonated/bitter upfront but that is ultimately tempered by luxurious coconut flavors. The sweetness is veiled over a balanced porter style with hints of cocoa, mocha flavored coffee and slight nuttiness. Dry finish. Nice option for your porter and/or novelty beer cravings.
