COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Coconut Porter is a classic robust porter spiced with all natural toasted coconut. It is black in color and crowned with a creamy, dark tan head. It begins with a malty-toasted-coconut aroma followed by a rich, silky mouthfeel with tastes of dark malt, chocolate, and hints of coffee. It then finishes with flavors of toasted coconut and hoppy spice to balance the finish.

Tiny pour and way too much head... wait for it to settle. Pour some more,,, here comes the head again. Anyway... nearly black with a light brown head. Smells of roasted malts, coconut, nuts, sweetness. Tastes of coffee and nuts.

This beer tastes so good cold. Not too sweet. Just the right amount of coconut.

October 4, 2014. Bottle at SBWF. Pours black with a medium sized creamy brown head. Aroma is milk chocolate, roasted coconut, light dark dried fruit notes. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter chocolate, hints of coconut. Smooth and creamy.

Generally I try to rate a beer within it’s style, even if i’m not a fan. Unfortunately for this beer, I had it in a flight of other coconut/porters/stouts and it stood no chance of a decent rating. The aroma is mostly booze with a hint of roasted malt. The flavor is similar with the roasted malts and coconut barely discernable over the burn. Not my deal

On tap at the Brewpub. Poured a foamy tan head fully diminishing to little lace. Moderate roasty aromas. Initial flavor is light sweet w/ a moderate bitter finish of short duration. Tastes are heavy roasted malts, lightly toasted coconut, dark chocolate, bittersweet chocolate, and vanilla. Full bodied, creamy mouthfeel, and light carbonation.

It poured a black color with a light tan head. The aroma was of coffee and coconut. The taste was of roasted malts, toasted coconut and coffee. Very different.

Very dark brown with a camel colored head. Aroma is rich, with caramel notes. Taste is slightly toasty and pleasant, but not plainly coconutty. $2.5/12oz

Roasty and sweet like a good porter but I’m not finding any coconut flavor. Creamy mouth. Feel.

On tap at Chuck’s 85 St. Dark colored, not much head and somewhat cloudy. A little lace lingers with each sip. Aroma of coffee and espresso with a bit of smoky coconut. Sweet tasting, with bread and a tad bit of sourness. Very light for a porter. Not much carbonation and a fairly short finish.
