COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Double Overhead IPA is a fresh handcrafted double IPA featuring copious amounts of hops. Laden with hops from begining to end and not overly bitter, it's hop aromas and flavours give hints of Guava, Passion Fruit, and orange spice which blend well with the silky malt flavours. A light beer with a hint of red. The nose is amazingly tropical and fresh. It feels like the lowest density solid, so airy youíre not sure you drank it. A powdery dryness. It just floats away.

Draft at Stone Bistro. Clear amber pour, sticky off-white. Nice lacing. Citrusy hops, tropical fruit, pineapple, backed up by some caramel malt. The abv is slightly noticeable. This would be very nice if it wasnít as hot.

A: The pour is a medium amber color with a finger or so worth of slightly off-white head. S: Sweet tropical fruits and caramel malt, and thatís pretty much it. Maybe a bit of sweet grapefruit, too. T: For as sweet as the nose is, thereís a very sharp bitterness to the flavor. There is also a lot of alcohol flavor. At least there are some good grapefruit, pineapple, and pine flavors so this isnít a total bust. M: The body is medium and sort of syrupy for a DIPA. The carbonation is moderate. D: Not much here that I find pleasing in terms of a DIPA. Too sweet and just hot and boozy.

Draft in a shaker at the brewery. Pours dark orange-caramel in color with little to no head and nor lace. Sweet malty nose, but the hops are about to crash. The palate is malty sweet, Capín Crunch, and medium-full bodied like a light barley wine. Here come the waves of hops resulting in a mondo big bitter finish that pulsates as it drys. I like da big braddah.

Tap @ the brew pub. Pours a mostly clear golden orange with a frothy off white head. Nose of pine and citrus hops with a good amount of sweet malt in the background. Quite sticky on the palate, a nice IIPA.

Sample at Maui Brewing in Lahaina. Pours an orange gold with decent tan head. Aroma was deep with piney hops and some malt. Taste was lush and bitter with west coast hops, the malt evident and welcome to balance this monster out. It all felt a little unrefined and yet satisfying. A bit of an untamed animal. Wild and yet beautiful.

Tasted at the February Northern California Beer Tasting. This IPA pours a medium orange gold color from a 16oz(?) can. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity, tropical even and piney hops. Medium bodied Double India Pale Ale. The malts are caramel and fruity. The hops are piney and a touch citrusy. Nice balance. Good carbonation. I like it, a DIPA in a can. Hides the 8,5% alcohol very well. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter

Draft at the brewpub. C-hop nose, darkish amber body, nice white head. Well-balanced hops with crystal malts. Best beer I tried from this brewery.
