Double Overhead IPA is a fresh handcrafted double IPA featuring copious amounts of hops. Laden with hops from begining to end and not overly bitter, it’s hop aromas and flavours give hints of Guava, Passion Fruit, and orange spice which blend well with the silky malt flavours. Approximately 3-4 oz sampler at the Brewpub in Lahaina, Maui. The pour is orange copper, mostly clear, with not much head. The aroma is tropical fruit, along with lightly toasted malt. The taste is sweet tropical fruit hop, malt sweetness, and a decent alcohol burn in the back. The palate is medium bodied, low carbonation level, dry hot finish. Pretty boozy.

On tap at the brewery, Aloha, bitches! pours a copper witha nice head, good lacing. Aroma is amazing lots of tropical notes, mango, melon, passion fruit, and hints of dank hops. Must have a healthy dose of citra? The waiter was clueless when I asked. Flavour is similar, really tropical and fruity, but finishes with a nice sticky lupelin bitterness, amazing! The 100 ibus is so smooth, and the alcohol not noticeable! Fantastic beer!

On tap @ Maui Brewing. Poured a cloudy apricot/orange into a pint glass with a pronounced white head. Floral hops and citrus aromas fill the nose. Piney hops and malt grab the palate’s attention and subtle citrus notes linger. The 100 IBU leave a memorable hopy bitterness in the mouth.

Orange pour, off white head. Great tropical fruit aromas with some citrus peel. Flavor is big and bold! Tropical fruit, guava, mango, tangerine, nice bitterness. Great!

On tap at the Addison Flying Saucer. Ruddyamber pour with a nice white head. Aroma is tons of hops - pine, tropical fruit, resin, and floral. Slick mouthfeel with a lot of bitter hop bite.

Draft at brewery in Kahana. Wonderful sweet hop in the nose. Clear copper biddy, thin off white head. 9% alcohol evident. Well balanced. Quite good.

On tap. Pours with a hazed golden hued body with a bone colored white head. Good lace. Aromas are floral dank and citrusy with lots of tropical fruit. Minimal malt character which is fine by me. Flavors are dank, stonefruit, guava and CTZ (possibly?). Lively bubbles, and dry. Well done.

On tap at GABF. Pours a clear copper color with a large white head. The aroma is sweet fruits, some tropical notes, caramel. The flavor is very nice: resin, bitter pineapple, some oranges, quite smooth. Is this their winter seasonal? Awesome.

Tap at the Moth. Pours a very rich rouge color with slight touches of orange. Foamy off white head. Very large head response. Aroma is very hoppy. Lots of pine notes, sap and resin. Not overpowering though. Flavor is super sweet hops, lots of tree sap and resin, earthy grassy notes that leave a big tingle on the palate. Very hoppy, very sweet.
