Double Overhead IPA is a fresh handcrafted double IPA featuring copious amounts of hops. Laden with hops from begining to end and not overly bitter, it’s hop aromas and flavours give hints of Guava, Passion Fruit, and orange spice which blend well with the silky malt flavours. "Big braddah to the Big Swell IPA"

On tap at GABF. Pours a clear copper color with a large white head. The aroma is sweet fruits, some tropical notes, caramel. The flavor is very nice: resin, bitter pineapple, some oranges, quite smooth. Is this their winter seasonal? Awesome.

Tap at the Moth. Pours a very rich rouge color with slight touches of orange. Foamy off white head. Very large head response. Aroma is very hoppy. Lots of pine notes, sap and resin. Not overpowering though. Flavor is super sweet hops, lots of tree sap and resin, earthy grassy notes that leave a big tingle on the palate. Very hoppy, very sweet.

Amber color with a filmy off-white head. Hoppy aroma. Sweet, citrus, bitter flavor. This beer fizzes and foams when it hits the palate. It burns a little bit on the way down. The consistency is a little too thick. It’s got that doughy thing going on too. It’s strong and flavorful but just not hitting a note with me.

Served on tap at Maui Brewing Brewpub. The appearance is a deep golden red-brown hue with a small off white head. The aromas are strong with sweet hop esters, pineapple, and passion fruits. The flavors are more fruity hop flavors. A lot of pineapple, mango, guava. Great island flavors. The mouth is pretty full bodied with a sweet stickiness to it. The alcohol is well hidden and will hit you. Very nicely done.

A light beer with a hint of red. The nose is amazingly tropical and fresh. It feels like the lowest density solid, so airy you’re not sure you drank it. A powdery dryness. It just floats away.

Draft at Stone Bistro. Clear amber pour, sticky off-white. Nice lacing. Citrusy hops, tropical fruit, pineapple, backed up by some caramel malt. The abv is slightly noticeable. This would be very nice if it wasn’t as hot.

A: The pour is a medium amber color with a finger or so worth of slightly off-white head. S: Sweet tropical fruits and caramel malt, and that’s pretty much it. Maybe a bit of sweet grapefruit, too. T: For as sweet as the nose is, there’s a very sharp bitterness to the flavor. There is also a lot of alcohol flavor. At least there are some good grapefruit, pineapple, and pine flavors so this isn’t a total bust. M: The body is medium and sort of syrupy for a DIPA. The carbonation is moderate. D: Not much here that I find pleasing in terms of a DIPA. Too sweet and just hot and boozy.

Draft in a shaker at the brewery. Pours dark orange-caramel in color with little to no head and nor lace. Sweet malty nose, but the hops are about to crash. The palate is malty sweet, Cap’n Crunch, and medium-full bodied like a light barley wine. Here come the waves of hops resulting in a mondo big bitter finish that pulsates as it drys. I like da big braddah.
