COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our "Helles" or "Light" lager is crisp, yet soft, and ends with a wondrous malt-like finish. It's made with 100% malted barley and aged to mellow its subtle flavors. Named after Maui's most famous surf spot at Honolua Bay. 20 IBU.

Draft at the brewpub. Golden body, white head, lagerish nose. This is a better version of the Bikini Blonde, with more malts, less graininess, and better hops. They really ought to be canning this one, not the Bikini Blonde.

Sampled at the brewery in beautiful Maui. Honolua was a snorkal spot if I remember correctly not much surfing going on there, but I may be wrong. Tastes of lightly toasted malts and a dry finish.

Draft at brewpub. Light yellow with decent head. Aromas were bready yeast with some malt. Flavors followed suit. Decent, but nothing exciting.

Slightly hazy straw colour. Firm bread crusty malts in the nose. The body is full, leading with pale malt flavours, and finishing with a light noble hop accent. Clean and rounded, a nice helles.

Rated on Maui during my honeymoon! Light orange in color with a completely diminishing head. Pineappley, guava and citric aroma, very strange. (Maybe I had been eating too many tropical fruits by this point during my trip!) Nice malty, cookie-rich flavor is slightly peppery. Excellent malt profile. Liquid fortune cookie, if you will.

Draught. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted light bread, cookie), lightly hoppy (herbs, lemon). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter, lightly acidic. Finish is lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
