3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap in Maui @ brewpub, bitches! Aroma is grainy. Color is clear straw, thin head. Flavor is where this beer shines. Very similar to bikini blonde. But then the pepper comes in and there is a good amount of smokiness. Finishes with a nice balance burn, love it!

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Powerful chipotle and smoke aroma, a bit deceptive for the degree of initial flavor imparted. Delivers a spicy kick in the back of the throat that lingers for much longer than it should. That’s really all there is to it. It’s fairly heavy bodied for a blonde lager, and not carbonated enough.

Spicy as advertised but does not linger on the palate. Good palate cleanser. Great session beer. Not for everyone.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Approximately 3-4 oz sampler at the Brewpub in Lahaina, Maui. The pour is gold yellow, with not much of a white head. The aroma is a little earthy, dusty vegetal spice. The taste is big hot pepper (more than expected), with a clean malt lager behind that. The palate is light to medium bodied, decent carbonation level washed the heat away leading to a dry finish. Nice clean lager with clean pepper flavor. Well executed for the style.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: APR 4, 2012 On tap at Maui brew house .... very different. Strong spicy, chipotle notes. Taste was heavy on the spice ... very little mouth feel and no feel beer taste. Overall, it was different, not sure if I would buy it again.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Spicy chipotle finish. Aroma is very smokey. Thin mouth. Taste is all chipotle peppers. I don’t think I’d call this a beer. It is super unique though and the fact they got this to taste ok is amazing to me.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sample at the brewpub. Advertised as hving chipotles rather than jalapenos. Blonde pour. Aroma mostly of peppers with some grain tossed in there. Taste is predominantly peppers with some of the helles coming out. The heat lingers quite long and sneaks up on you. I rather liked this.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Sample at the brewpub. The brew is a clear yellow color with a medium thin white head that diminishes quickly. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Peppery aroma with some malt notes. Light body with flavors of bready malt and hot pepper. The finish is peppery with a lingering burn left over. Average beer overall.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Enjoyed on draft, winter 2010 at the brewery. Appearance is pretty much the same as the regular Blonde, which is rather good with the pale golden color and white head. Nose has the unmistakable chipotle with some light cereal grain. On the palate the chipotle is lighter than most chile beers, and the heat isn’t as substantial as most either. This pairs well with their jalapeno cheese bread, and neither are extremely challenging if you’re into spicy beverages and food.

(draft) Lightly hazed apple juice body with small white head. Aroma is medium sweet, fruity/cantaloupe. Taste is moderately sweet, jalapeno, caramel, cantaloupe. Fairly flavorful with a decent burn. Light-medium body, light stickiness.
