3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can from Beers of Europe
Orange, hazy, creamy, frothy white head
Aroma - soft spices, coriander, aromatic floral notes, hint of orange in the background
Taste - Spicy, sweet mandarin orange coming through, soft wheat, floral notes, very creamy in the middle
Palate - medium carb, medium body, very smooth. Soft spicy and zesty palate. Finish - after the creamy middle, bit dry, cleans off the palate too quickly so little in the finish - bit of creamy orange.
Overall - Nice witbier, I especially like the mandarin orange, not overly aromatic too, rather too creamy in the middle for me.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JUL 24, 2012
Location: Draft at the Brewpub, 7/6/12
Aroma: This one has a wheat and spice/coriander type of nose, with some lemon
Appearance: It pours an unclear yellow color with a white head and medium lace
Flavor: The flavor is spice, wheat, and lemon as well, it is light sweet, with mid-plus spice
Palate: The body is light-medium, with a lively carbonation, and it has a spicy finish to it
I found this one to be a solid example of the Belgian white style. Another interesting beer that I was glad I got to try at Maui. Overall, their beers are all pretty interesting, and many of them are also quite good. This brewpub was definitely worth a stop.

355ml can. Pours a cloudy yellow/orange with a nicely proportioned head. The nose has mandarins and cream. The taste has a sort of peach melba thing going on. The texture is light to medium in structure with a lovely creamy texture and a nice refreshing finish. Overall, a style I like and it’s well executsd.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen
Cloudy blond color. Some aroma of wheat, fruit, sweet. Mild flavor, some boring wheat, without character, some vegetables, quite sweet, low bitterness, and even some alcohol feeling. Nothing interesting, not Belgian not German, just a sweetish Wheat Ale.

Did this a disservice by drinking several straight from the can at a poolside luau. Finally poured one in a glass a couple weeks later and discovered fine witbier. Light and lemony with plenty of wheat and noticeable spice and yeast.
