3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20Aluminum can from South Bay Liquor: Poured a glowing yellow hue with a white tinting while a tiny film layer of head rested on top. Aroma is fragrant with coriander and orange peel true to the witbier style but somehow this smells similar to a pour of shock top. The flavor is smoothly balanced between a grained wheat and grassy hop flavor that has a slight notice of coriander and citrus peel, but I wasn’t very impressed and for paying over $14 for a 6 pack I’m actually disappointed.

Can. Pours cloudy pale. Aroma is citrus, bread and floral. Taste is sweet, citrusy. Light body and quite fizzy. Nice thirst quencher.

Have only had this one once, unlike the other Maui beers. It’s really a perfect and flat (not in a bad way) example of the style. Straight across. Would make a greats summer beer if I could find it around here...

Can from Asahiya. Honey, yeast, light citrus, lemon flowers. Hazy dark apple juice color, thin (nearly no) head, fat bubbles on the bottom of the glass. Wheat, orange initial / coriander and light lemon / thin sweetness in final, and then fades slowly. Light body, pleasant and with mild carbonation. Very tasty, gentle, and smooth. Could use a little more body. Very drinkable. Would like to have another on a hot day.

Can, 16 Tons Taphouse. Pours a very light golden straw color, little head. Aroma leans yeast, some citurs, but not to the degree of specificity of Mandarin oranges. Might want a bit of a stronger aroma, but what is here is pretty nice. Body is lively, finish a bit disappointing, on the thing side, does open up a bit with oranges and coriander. Not world class, but certainly a solid effort.

Can. Pours a cloudy yellow straw with a half finger of white head. Settles immediately with no lacing. Aroma is pineapple, citrus, peach, wheat, sweet, and coriander. Flavor is sweet, citrus, mild pineapple/tropical fruit up front. With a coriander, wheaty finish. Quite sweet and fruity throughout and the coriander isn’t as overbearing as i remember. Think this beer would benefit from having the fruitiness toned down a bit. Coriander flavor really comes out as it warms. Soft carbonation, medium-light body, and smooth texture. The fruity and smooth nature of this beer make it highly drinkable. A pleasant, very fruity, light and drinkable witbier.

Can from Thistle News, Aberdeen. It pours hazy pale golden with a quickly dissipating white head. The nose is orange squash, sweatiness and strong coriander. The taste is wheat, zesty orange, tangy, herbal (particularly coriander), banana and weak orange squash with a dry, citric finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. I like the orange flavour, but the strong coriander on the nose doesn’t float my boat.

Bottle from Trembling Madness, York. A cloudy yellow-white beer with a sweet lemon zesty flavour, vanilla notes and a very dry, slight tart finish.

355ml can. Pours a slightly hazy lemon gold with a small head. Aroma is mandarins and coriander. Taste is quite wheaty throughout with some orange juice on the finish.
