12oz can, pours a pale straw color. Effervescent at first with a head that quickly retreats. Mild lemon and grapefruit aromas. Laided back sweetness mixed with smooth tart lemons. Easy drinking. Not quite what I think a Saison should be. Needs more dryness and less sweetness. Still its very enjoyable.

Can. Pours hazy yellow with minimal white head. Smells like eggs...cloves, spicy eggs. Tastes crisp, citrus, eggs, yes- eggs...hmmm. Interesting.

Appearance was cloudy yellowish gold with fizzy creamy white diminishing 1/2 head, no lacing. Aromas are soft lemons, sweet pils malt, wheaty funky yeasts, touch of honey and spices. Taste are sweet malts, lemongrass, melon, orange, white grapes and pepper. Palate was soft tiny CO2 with light body, winey citrusy lasting smooth finish. A beautiful Saison with a nice mix of hops.

Pours a really hazy yellow color with a small white head that fades to nothing. The aroma is sour lemon, grass, hay, and herbs. Ehh its ok. Itís a decent summer beer but Iím not overly impressed. I really respect both breweries but this collaboration just comes off as super boring to me.

Aluminum can from Sproutís: Appeared as a dense glowing yellow hue that was completely opaque while a thick frothy layer of foam quickly retreated leaving the liquid naked without head. The aroma smells of true Belgian farmhouse yeast with touches of spice and clove, but I have not smelled lemongrass for some time now thus I have no immediate memory of how it smells. There is an herbal smell to this beer that sort of reminds me of chronic buds that have dried out. The flavor is mild with light notes of sweetness along with a taste of tart unripe fruit perhaps banana? The palate is silky smooth and goes down with only a minor notice of the carbonation. Okay beer and I believe this might be my first lemon grass beerómahalo!

UPDATED: JUL 25, 2013 A hazy yellow color pours out with a thick initial white head but without much staying power. Funky and yeasty in the aroma; picking up wild flowers, herbs, and some grassy notes. Citrus rind joins the scent with some noticeable hopping. Very nice. Itís light-bodied and refreshing going down making it an excellent choice for this hot afternoon. Sweet floral and honey-like melon flavors, with grassy funk, lemon, and a touch of bitter hops finishing it off. The overall sweetness of the beer could perhaps be dialed down just a little bit, but if you live anywhere hot, you learn to appreciate nice, light, easy drinking saisons like this.

Can. Golden beer with a cream head. Spice and light yeast aroma. Lemon and spice flavor with yeast. Medium bodied. Somewhat refreshing. Lemon and spice lingers with yeast and a bit of oats.

Can from Total Wine in Sac. Aroma and flavor is more Meyer lemon than lemongrass, but whatever. Good carbonation and palate to this one, like a crisp, malty (low sugar) lemonade. This one isn't typical of saisons, as it's more lemon-fruit beer than saison, but I loved it for what it was. Great beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can. Pours with a clear golden yellow hue with a large amount of carbonation and a foamy white head. Good retention, medium lace. Aromas show a big CO2 bite, but following that there are grassy and citrusy qualities, Nelson, rustic phenols, peppery, a bit earthy, and a very dry funk. Gooseberry, light bready/wheaty malt. Flavors are a touch tart, a nice smooth and biscuty malty quality. Some citrus. Really light bitterness, mildly tropical, grassy. Pretty easy to drink. I might have to pick up a full six pack of this. Lightly spicy. Fuller carbonation, medium dry finish with a low body.

Can in a hotel before FWIBF. Hazy piss yellow with big white head. Aroma is grassy, citrus and some belgian notes with coriander. The lemon is more apparent right up front but quickly fades. More of a lemon peel thing going on. Easy to drink. Refreshing to a degree but not my favorite for the style.
