The beer pours a hazy yellow color with a large white head. The aroma has some yeast and fruit notes, as well as some biscuit malt. The flavor is similar. There is a nice biscuit and toasted malt character, as well as some nice citrus fruit. There is a bit of tartness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

12/30/12: Can, fresh. Color is soft orange, fairly clear, with a very light dusting of lacing. Aroma is perfumy fruits, prickly pear, peach, guava; tropical. Flavor is smooth, balanced fruit forward notes on a bready backbone. Pretty delicate stuff, well crafted. Finish fades with fruit, subtle sweetness and a kiss of hops. Better than expected.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Beautiful golden tangerine pour with a tightly packed ivory head that left incredible webbing inside the glass. Nose is subtle, subdued with yeast, biscuit, tart fruit, and some floral notes. Flavor is semi sweet with a unique sour finish. Honey, freshly baked bread, tropical fruit, and alcohol. This surprised me with the warming qualities. Different. Enjoyable. Give it a go.

12 oz. can from Specs in Round Rock. A big off white head slowly settled leaving spider web lacing. Kind of a copper hue and pretty much clear. Fruit galore in the aroma. That is tasted first and it is complex passion fruit. Rich malts wete tasted after that and then spices. Even later mildly bitter hops showed up. Each of those dominated the flavor at their peak. Much more intetesting than any other fruit beer I have had.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz. can- Pours semi hazy with a one finger head that reduces to a ring. Aroma is hops, piney hops, fruity, but hard to pinpoint. The taste is very tasty, not sure what breadfruit is, but it seems to taste awesome, creamy, fruity, hoppy, and tasty, it does start to become a bit syrupy! Body is a bit thin, but I don’t mind that personally, beers like this I prefer on the thinner side, carbonation is moderately high. Overall I was somewhat impressed, I couldn’t drink this all night, but it is refreshing for a change of pace, I do wish the taste would have lived up to the hoppy aroma!

I have to disagree with many of the comments I’ve read before trying this. The name of this beer is pretty spot on with the tasting experience. If one were to agree with that, like I do, then to rate it poorly would be pretty unfair. I feel like this beer does justice to a balance between bread and fruit - especially with an 8. something alcohol content. Tropical fruit on the nose, a blended bread and fruit taste, and slightly dry bread finish with a hint of fruit tartness. Overall, enjoyable and a nice journey into something different.

Curiously odd but interesting beer. Cloudy; thinnish head. Very bready and earthy. Chewy texture with some alcohol burn in the aftertaste. Hot fusel nips. Slightly cloying. Pleasant fruitiness in the background. Mild bitterness.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cloudy apricot colored pour with small white head. Aroma of papaya, bready and citrus. Taste of papaya, citrus dominates. Sweet start gives way quickly to a tart citrus bitterness. Interesting beer but not all that good really. One time try.

12oz can. Pours a cloudy orange-golden color with an off-white head. Plenty of sediment floating around. Aroma has some nice, ripe tropical fruit and citrusy notes along with some earthiness. Taste is sweet, and a bit tart, with a bit of hop bitterness. More juicy fruits coming through. lighter bodied and what seems to be a short finish. The fruits and a bit of spice do keep on going just when you think the beer finishes. I am getting some mild alcohol warmth in the chest, but it drinks easy. Depending on the abv, I might be able to drink several of these in one sesson. Good stuff.
