3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz can from "Lifesource" in Salem.
Pours a hazy orange/gold small persistent creamy white head.
Not much aroma to speak off but mainlly malty, toffee with some pitted fruitlike in the back.
Taste is very much more fruity..mellow fruitiness balanced by nice caramel type malt..spicy/bitter in the end. Actually nice.
Mouth feel is good and thick but also easily drinkable not much sigh of the high alc.
Overall a nice enough beer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
11th March 2013
Hazy amber beer, small white head. Palate is light and crisp and dry. Minerals. An unusual dry fruity flavour, slightly vegetal, which I guess is the breadfruit. Vague cactus and a touch of lime. A little sweeter fruit follows and shows a flash of orange. Minerally dry finish with an unusual fruity aftertaste. Off the beaten track but a tad dry.

1.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Hazy ornage and golden coloured body with a bit of a light copper glow, all with a half centimetre tall ugly off-white head. Aroma of light fruit, a touch of malt and just about nothing else, perhaps some honey. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong malt with a bit of yeast and a increasing bitter flavour that just persists and gets worse. Aftertaste shows a very bland flavour with some bitterness, a good dose of body (not sure where it comes from), a touch of yeast and perhaps the slightest bit of fruit. Overall, a pretty bad offering, perhaps one of the worst from Maui (but not DFH - there are way worse ones) yet. This isnít really ready for public consumption, unless you want to alienate folks who love either/both breweries. I wish I didnít take up room in my suitcase across the whole of the pacific and america for this. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Liquor Collection in Honolulu, Maui, Hawaii for US$3.50 on 10-December-2012 sampled at home in Washington (on the other end of this great land) on 20-September-2013.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Can:   Amberish, pale haze, thin off-white head, sparce lacing.   Fruity nose, sweet, somewhat of a sweet
melon nose.   Very dull, non-descript otherwise.   Similar tongue.   Has a shrubby aspect to it, but not in the
berry sense, mountain berry, but in the SHRUB sense.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Pale breadiness, melon like
sweetness, and very shrubby like earthiness on the finish.   This fits the definition of an odd one, 100%.   Not

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Very clean light honey fruit smell. Great hazy orange color. Its a thick full mouth feel. The yeast does a great job of keeping the sweetness in check. Pleasantly aware of the fruit backbone to this beer. Refreshing with a tart aftertaste.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pine, citrus and berry aroma. Slightly darker golden color with controlled shiney cream colored head. Has a light tart zing at first then a malty with fruit kicks after taste. Leaves the mouth kinda bitter.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Some tartness to the aroma. This is a strange beer. Itís frutiy but hard to identify any papaya at all. Iíve never had breadfruit so maybe thatís what Iím getting. Thereís some hops at time but also a fair amount of tartness. Strange but good. Really hard to rate, even after the whole 12 ounces.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz can from Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours amber with a nice beige head and a light toffee and citrus aroma. There is a strange blend of taste including caramel malt, yeast and bitter fruit. Not real tasty.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can from Total Wine in Sac. Aroma and flavor of slight 90min and breadfruit, maybe some papaya in there. Loses carbonation quickly, but not a bad flavor. Definitely retains the slight hoppiness. Pretty good beer.
