COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dogfish Head superstar – Sam Calagione, will be our fearless collaborator! The result – a beer-epiphany never before innovated called Liquid Breadfruit!

To celebrate the cornucopia of a Maui-grown harvest, we will ingeniously combine local breadfruit (or ulu) & toasted papaya seeds into the recipe of an imperial golden ale fermented using Dogfish Head’s DNA (Delaware-Native-Ale) yeast. You won’t want to wait until October to try it, but oh it will be worth the wait!

12 oz can - pours golden orange-yellow with decent small tight white head. Quickly diminishes to nothing. Aromas of some fruit, funky yeast like lager, bananas and citrus. Reminds me of a beach beer. Not too hot at 8.2%. Funky aftertaste. Ok not a seeker.

Can poured a cloudy gold with a lasting creamy ivory head. Aromas of bread, breadfruit, yeat and spice. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth dry finish. Flavors of bread, breadfruit, yeast and light spice with a smooth dry lingering fruity finish.

Shared by the Rhino! The beer is very light orange and completely transparent with a half inch of white head. The aroma offers tropical fruit, alcohol, sweet malt, oddness. Weird flavor as well. Like a cloying mixed drink. Light spice. Lots of boozy sweetness. Not my thing.

Can. Soft amber with a tall, foamy tan head. Aroma is soft fruit notes, toasted malt, light grains and hints of caramel. Taste is sweet malt, toasted grains, soft fruit notes, soft booze and mild spiciness. Body is medium but soft with a moderate bubbly carbonation, light warmth and moderate stickiness. Ends with more spiciness, booze, sweet malt, caramel, fruit notes, toasted grains and light tartness.

12 oz can via Lubiere, cool, tulip. Clear deep golden with a fair off-white head. Sorta vaguely fruity with boiled cereals, faintly citrusy with light tropical notes, a bit dusty, a touch resinous, pleasant if a bit unfocused. Medium+ body with moderate, fine effervescence. Fairly fruity, alcoholic, reminds me of a Belgian ale, sorta bready and yeasty with a touch of spiciness, a touch tropical and citrusy, not bad; dry with some bitterness and a boozy, vaguely fruity finish. Lower abv would have been nicer. The beer isn’t bad, it just is somewhat unfocused.

Nice golden color, clean, with small head. The aroma is moderately fruity. Round mouthfeel; some malt flavor with pleasant and mild fruity impression, quite bold bitterness, and some alcohol feeling in the end.
Nice.

Can; poured an orange-amber color with a big frothy white head. Aroma of yeast, fruit, a touch of sourness, alcohol and herbs. Flavor was more muted than I expected, which was good because I don’t think I love the flavor profile. Some tartness, too aggressive yeast and fruit notes, with a rather short finish.

Can. pours gold with a thick, persistent white head. Moderate lacing. Aroma is lightly sweet and a bit funky with a bit of white bread. Taste is spicy, sweet, a bit tart, a bit cloying. Not great, but very nice, crisp, and easy drinking. Definitely something different.

Can at Lay’s juau. Pours murky orange with small beige head. Nose of sweet funk fruit, bready, yeast. A little boozy. I did not enjoy this.
