Grainy, fruity nose. Papaya or peach or something, herbal, a little pepper. Strange. Pours golden amber, frothy white head. Flavors of grain, peppery earthy notes, peach, papaya, and more grain. Easy to drink for an imperial golden ale. Interesting to drink.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled on 3/18/2013. This fruit beer pours a very hazy pineapple orange gold color from a 12oz can. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, earthy and floral. A medium bodied fruit beer. The malts are fruity and sweet, tropical and bready. The hops are floral and citrusy. Good carbonation. Interesting combination of flavors, some fruity, some earthy and a hint of tartness. Certainly not your typical fruit beer, of course they aren’t using the typical fruits either… Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly tart.

Can thanks to the Boise crew! Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. A sweet fruity nose, very tropical. A earthy yeasty flavor with big tropical fruit, very juicy at times. Really though a malt forward brew, earthy. Good.

The beer pours a hazy yellow color with a large white head. The aroma has some yeast and fruit notes, as well as some biscuit malt. The flavor is similar. There is a nice biscuit and toasted malt character, as well as some nice citrus fruit. There is a bit of tartness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Can. Slightly hazy orange pour with a small spotty white head. Very sweet, some passion fruit. Funky and weird. I’m not digging this.

[Canned 12/31/12] Hazy orange color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, toast, tropical fruits, some oxidation. Taste of citrus, toast, orange, tropical fruits, and a semi-sweet finish. Oxidation was surprising given the age.

Murky yellow, lively carbonation. Not much head. Smells fruity, like mango and other tropical fruits. I suppose that’s Breadfruit? Taste is fruity and lightly sour. Pretty refreshing. I liked it..
