2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Breadfruit, peach, pear, papaya. A collaboration between Dogfish Head and Maui Brewing Co. 8.2% alcohol saves it.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Can. Pours a very hazy amber color with a moderate off-white head. Nose is definitely fruity, with some slight bread as well as an almost citrus-berry note. Taste is actually a little sour, and with a lot more bite to it than I expected. Not bad, but Iím not a fruit beer fan, really.

Can. Slightly hazy orange pour with a small spotty white head. Very sweet, some passion fruit. Funky and weird. Iím not digging this.

Can at Layís juau. Pours murky orange with small beige head. Nose of sweet funk fruit, bready, yeast. A little boozy. I did not enjoy this.

The beer is very light orange and completely transparent with a half inch of white head. The aroma offers tropical fruit, alcohol, sweet malt, oddness. Weird flavor as well. Like a cloying mixed drink. Light spice. Lots of boozy sweetness. Not my thing.

2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
Golden amber color with white head. No lacing, very "clean" looking brew. Aroma slightly bready but seems sanitized. Taste is neutral to me not bad drinking however. Clean finish. I feel the aroma could be improved.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing.
Body is dark yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, husks), lightly hoppy (flowers), with notes of metal, unripe peach, gum, ammonia.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, unclean, husky.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, metallic.
Horrible...husks, metal, and ammonia in the nose, with an equally dirty, husky, and metallic aftertaste. Shameful.

UPDATED: OCT 4, 2014 Intriguing name but yucky beer. Expected more from Dogfish Head but its the usual disappointment from Maui Brewing. Thought it would be better and wish it was.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Pours a cloudy yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is too sweet; sugar, fruit, banana, wheat, melon (?). Flavor is strange; fruity and sweet, melon, banana, also bitter and acidic.
Iím so sorry to say this. The aromas and flavors of this beer continually reminded me of vomit. Thatís awful to say but that was my experience. Maybe I got a bad can? I love both of these breweries but something about this beer was stomach turning and awful

1.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Hazy ornage and golden coloured body with a bit of a light copper glow, all with a half centimetre tall ugly off-white head. Aroma of light fruit, a touch of malt and just about nothing else, perhaps some honey. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong malt with a bit of yeast and a increasing bitter flavour that just persists and gets worse. Aftertaste shows a very bland flavour with some bitterness, a good dose of body (not sure where it comes from), a touch of yeast and perhaps the slightest bit of fruit. Overall, a pretty bad offering, perhaps one of the worst from Maui (but not DFH - there are way worse ones) yet. This isnít really ready for public consumption, unless you want to alienate folks who love either/both breweries. I wish I didnít take up room in my suitcase across the whole of the pacific and america for this. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Liquor Collection in Honolulu, Maui, Hawaii for US$3.50 on 10-December-2012 sampled at home in Washington (on the other end of this great land) on 20-September-2013.
