On tap at OBF 27. A: Cloudy, muddy orange with a thin head. Some lacing. N: Pine, orange, pineapple, leaves, cracker, biscuit, earthiness. T: Very bitter, with some malt to balance the hops. Blood orange’s citrus sourness present throughout. M: Resinous, medium body, no alcohol burn. O: Goes down far too easily given the style. I emptied my glass in a matter of seconds. I would like to have more of this, please. (I hear it’s going to go into cans.)

Tap at the 2014 OBF as Lorenzini Blood Orange DIPA.Pours hazy amber with a creamy beige head. Strong hop aroma. Med body. Flavor is sort of bitter orange rind over caramel. Hoppy, bitter, tasty.

On draught at 27th Annual Oregon Brewers Festival. Golden color. Aroma is tart citrus hops. Taste is light blood orange, bitter grapefruit, and citrus. A little bit bitter and needs some more blood orange.

On tap @ Murphy's. Bright IPA aroma with hints of blood orange. White head with medium bubbles. Orange copper color. Big IPA flavor with excellent orange notes. Balanced hops mask the alcohol. Very drinkable beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A hazed dark amber ipa with a thin mocha head. In aroma, smooth caramel malt with nice piney and resinous hops, very balanced. In mouth, good caramel with fruity notes, piney floral hops, good alcohol warmth, very nice. On tap at Pint + Jigger.

Serving glass: Poured from tap into Tulip. Appearance: Clear golden amber with thin white head and slight lacing. Aroma: Grapefruit and toasted malt, light tropical fruit and pine. Taste: Some light toasted and caramel malts but this is all about the hops, which reign supreme with loads of grapefruit and some mango and pine. Somewhat bitter finish, but more hoppy than bitter. Palate: Moderate carbonation, medium to full creamy body, nice dry finish. Overall: Very strong DIPA. Nice collaboration between my go to Maui brewery and one I have yet to try.

Draft at Pizza Port OB. Stoked to see this on the board, big fan of Maui.....not just cuz I’m there every year. Pours a lightly hazed deep gold with a small white head, light lacing. Nose held tropical fruits along with some citrus. Light - medium bitterness in the finish.

Pours a beautiful golden blonde with a fizzy white head. Aroma is hops and herbs with a slightly sweet malt to the background. Flavor is slightly sweet, not quite full imperial IPA sweet, piney, citrusy, and it has a dry, boozy finish.

Tap at brewpub and brewery. Pours golden with white head. Aroma is big grapefruit with a solid malt backing. Taste is balanced, yet hop-forward. Thicker mouthfeel and lingering bitter finish. A solid effort, though I was looking for aggressive hops considering the collaboration.
