Ripe pineapple nose, some soft wheat. Deep gold color, slightly hazy, thick fluffy head. Slight wheat biscuit, huge pineapple flavor, mild bitterness, no hop flavor or aroma, balance is to the pineapple, but it works. Big carbonation, lightish body, mouth feel is a little slick with a coating of pineapple juice type of feel, finish is crisp, with pineapple flavor lingering. Fruity beers are probably my least favorite, but this one is executed nicely, the pineapple presence is unbelievable, this would pair so well with Thai food or Polynesian cuisine, definitely worth trying.

Can at Our Black Heart, Camden on 23 Jun 2012. Poured a light hazy, pale golden colour, with a dense white head. Aroma of pineapples, banana essence and wheat. Fruity esters in the flavour, with bready malt and mango sweetness. Finish was straw, cereal and passionfruit.

Much less pineapple than the SanTan Mr Pineapple I had right before. I tasted bread and malt, then the pineapple. Sweetness lingers for a while.

Draft at the brewery. Pours a mostly clear light golden color with an off white head. Aroma is sweet, wheat, light pineapple. Flavor is lots of wheat, pineapple sweetness. Light in body with a lingering sweetness. Solid wheat beer. Not sure why its listed as a fruit beer.

The aroma is yeasty esters (banana, pineapple, clove) and fresh wheat, with some hoppy spice towards the end. The pineapple is well-integrated. Itís not quite freshly made pineapple juice, but itís not ethyl butyrate, either. Itís just there, and itís nice. The mouthfeel is on the fizzy and over-carbonated side, but itís also silky and not too far from other wheat beers. The taste is sweet and fruity, initially yeasty but lingers as pineapple juice. Very nice and pleasant. It is obvious this makes a great beach beer.

I didnít like this one. It was far too fizzy, and had a strange and not altogether pleasant taste to it. Small sample from a can at an SF beer festival.

Can at poolside of the Sheraton Resort(several times). Hazy golden, off white foam. Flowery somewhat overripe pinapple aroma. Medium mellow body with plenty of substance. Fruity notes on the forefront: Banana and pineapple, light spice (cinnamon, vanilla), wheat. Good wheat beer. Very refreshing in the hot sun.

Canned. Slightly cloudy gold, a bit of tropical fruit, wheat esthers, but really somewhat weird body, not great.

Everything pineapple--color, aroma, and taste. A nice, light and refreshing beer. Enjoyed several times.

"newly in six pack cans...this is a beer i could see myself sipping in HI...though most of mauiís brews are like that. the pineapple in here is not subtle, but does not quite overpower the hefe flavors either. strong in the nose and flavor, lighter palate, very refreshing if not terribly complex. hazy yellow with good head."

Hazy straw, strong fresh pineapple nose, fresh pineapple character, very real, not sweet, and with a refreshing, wheaty finish.
