COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Historically, Pale refers to a beer that is not dark or black. Pale Ales are loved for their unique malt flavors and lingering hop flavors. Our version is copper-colored with a toffee-like malt character, and a big Cascade hop finish. 40 IBU.

Note: previously known as Fish & Game Plantation Pale Ale.

On tap at the Maui Brewing Company Brew Pub. Poured a medium amber color with a very small sized off white head. Aromas of floral green hops, light caramel, and some citrus. Tastes of the same.

UPDATED: DEC 10, 2006 Draught. Head is mostly diminishing. Body is medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (grapefruit). Tap at brewery: Light caramel color; nice and frothy head. Malts had nice elements of nuts and caramel. Loved the hop profile, which was grassy and earthy. Aromas made me think of marijuana. Flavors made me think of hemp seeds. Nice pale.

On tap at the brewery. I think that this is a very good APA. Nice hoppy aroma, with good flavors of malts and hops. In a blind tasting, side by side with other well respected APAs, I would guess that this brew would hold its own

Draught. Good hop aroma. Slightly hazy copper amber. Thin, slightly off-white head. No lace. Very nice balance. Sweet and hoppy. Wonderful APA. Most APAs are watered down IPAs; this one stands on it’s own. A very nice beer.

Draft at brewpub. Golden yellow with a nice head. Hoppy aromas and flavors. Citrus and some grassiness. One of my favorites of the night.

Rated on Maui during my honeymoon! Thank God for a understanding wife! Light orange-red with a white head. Head is 90% diminishing. Slightly cloudy. Tropical fruit aroma (could simply be grapefruit, but I swore that I could distinguish mango). Piney Cascade hop flavor, moderately bitter with nice carbonation balance. Excellently crisp, hoppy finish. Top notch. (Hey, my scores were the same as hopsrus! Queue Twilight Zone music!)

Alphadelic (1751) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 18, 2009
Draft at the Brewpub: A crisp , pale-golden ale with a taut and cheeky white head. Big, sweet hops with citrus fruits giving it a real zingy aroma. Lovely balanced fruits and wholesome cereals. Deliciously in your face. Bitter but in a mellow way. Very crisp and light with a tight tingle on the tongue. Very tasty and drinkable if not the most remarkable ale. Bright and zingy. Good to go for a while.

UPDATED: SEP 11, 2008 Went to Fish & Game for lunch and unfortunately only got to try this one beer (would have loved to sit there all afternoon and sample...). Copper color with a nice foamy head. Fruity aroma with a touch of hops. There seemed to be a nice amount of hop flavor in this for a Pale Ale. Slightly bitter bite with floral notes making it great for the 80 degree weather they were having that day (and pretty much everyday). Would love to have it again but not sure if that’s going to happen...
