3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
I quite enjoyed this brew. A lighter style of PA but a nice crisp brew with well highlighted malts and hops. Munich and crystal style malts with light caramel and a bit of a spicy hop. Citrus notes are light but highlighted on the finish. A mild bitterness with a crisp finish. A good brew.

This could pass for an IPA. Bold hop flavour. Good mouth feel. Balanced bitterness. Herbal yet floral nose.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampled at Churchkey during CBC week. Pours a hazy, dark gold with some spitty, white head. Nose is very approachable, hops, citrus, malt, cracker, honey, hay. Flavor is sweet, honey, hay, straw, more sweetness than the nose shows, light bitterness, lemon, orange. Dry finish.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at the brewery, Aloha! Aroma is nice, pretty hoppy, but not getting into ipa territory at all, great balance. Palate is light and sessionable, would love to take this down to the beach!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Maui Brewing. Poured honey yellow into a pint glass with ocean foam white head. Wonderful aroma of grapefruit and hops flow from the glass. Hop flavor up front followed by grapefruit and orange. Hops linger pleasantly in the mouth long after the first sip. Very enjoyable and refreshing ale.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
I had this on tap at the brewpub in Ka’anapali. I thought it was a nicely done, hoppy APA.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Grassy finish and a very grassy aroma. Very traditional west coast style Pale. Not much lacing. Hardly any head. Not bad and I could make an afternoon and drinking this.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Urge in RB/Poway on April 28, 2011. They had 8 different brews from Maui that day. Smooth malty and bit of hops. A bit one sided in the roasty malt. A good, if not typicll, pale ale. Not my fave of their offerings that day.
