Probably the worst beer yet (at Maui).... Not an amber guy, but this is really not good... Soapy and not refreshing, kind off flavor, didnít have high expectations either...

Light amber. Not much of a smell to it, cereally. A good rendition with a little extra bitterness to it. Grassy and a little peppery. Super carbonated.

Gold pour with creamy white head and lace. Aroma of light semi sweet caramel malt. Light sweet malt with a nice bitter. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Nice surprise.

Tap @ the brew pub. Pours a pale yellow with a bubbly white head. Nose reminded me of a dank wet floor, not in a bad way. Some subtle yeast flavors followed by clean dry finish.

UPDATED: SEP 7, 2010 From draft sampler on August 2, 2010 at the brewpub. Subtle musty/sour (but not unpleasant) aroma, VERY pale yellow color, moderate bittersweet flavor thatís not quite like anything Iíve had before. Beer was described on the brewpubís chalkboard list of current brews on tap as a California Common, a style I donít recall having previously though Iíve certainly heard about it. Quite good. ADDENDUM: Of course Iíve had California Common before--Anchor Steam Beer. How could I forget that one? Sheesh...

Sample at Maui Brewing in Lahaina. Poured an off gold with thin head. Aroma was slightly smoky, mild hops with thin malt back. This beer seems to lack depth and substance. Itís flavourful and well crafted but ultimately unsatisfying.
