Draft. Clear pale golden body. Fizzy, white head, rapidly diminishing. Aroma of lemongrass, raw grain, herbal hops, lemon. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Citrus and lemon flavor.

Absolutely loved this one. Bit pricey, but great beer. Straw golden pour. Lots of subtle lemongrass notes blended with hints of barnyard and spices on the nose. Flavors bring out a classic Lost Abbey saison, thick body, yet goes down gently. Lemongrass melds beautifully with the saison yeast for a solid canned summer beer!

A: Mildly Hazy Golden Straw Hue, Passes Most Light, No Head, No Lacing, Bubbly
S: Lemongrass, Yeast, Mild Sugar
T: Lemongrass, Yeast, Mild Sugar, Mildly Tinny
M: Poor Carbonation, Light to Medium Bodied, Mildly Sweet
Overall, I have had this beer before and it liked it but this can seemed poorly carbonated, mild of flavor and had a metallic aftertaste, which I started noticing with their coconut porter too. I tihnk maybe Maui is starting to run their course.

Yellow, clowdy, a central dome and ring of whites. Smells of belgian yeast, some hay, grass, clay and manure - meh. Flavor is grain, soil, grass and hay again, a touch of lemongrass (I feel like I’m reaching here). Again fairly unimpressive for the flavor described. Medium on heavy with soft carb and a dry finish. I don’t know if it’s the shipping, or just their beer, but most of the beer is just not that good from this brewery, I don’t get it. Maybe the novelty of a Hawaii brewed beer is what does it for everybody, but I’m getting close to calling it quits on this brewery - even though the only reason I seem to buy them I because I’ve had all their offerings.
