16th July 2013
Hazy gold beer with a small white head. Palate is light with a mild minerally crispness. Semi dry. Light herby lemon and a light touches of yeast and citrus. Whisper of bubblegum. Light semi dry finish. It’s fine - but flirting with blandness. More lemongrass please!

Can shared at chriso’s pre-Christmas tasting 2014 - London. Pours hazy yellow with a creamy white head. Bready wheat is the word here, with some lemon peel and lightly bitter hay. Light in body with average carbonation. Moderate sweetness at the exit, with a bit of sugary wheat, straw. Simple enough but tasty and drinkable.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Can from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy lemon gold with a slight white head. Aroma is funky citrus. Med body, nearly. Flavor is a bit wheaty, but I think the oat aspect is noticeable, with some lemon/citrus flavor and a touch of vinosity. It is earthy, and though it’s not strongly so, I think this is the defining characteristic. A nice, light saison. Aren’t they all?
