3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tasted this in the Fox & Hounds, Houston in May 2009. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear pale straw in colour with a thin white head. Dusty floral hops present in the short aroma. Thin resiny mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt base gives citric fruit notes of lemon and limes, grapefruit and honeydew melon. Dry dusty hops give a bitter bite to the aftertaste. Finish is malty and warming with a hit of mead. An excellent summer session bitter.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
2nd January 2009. Bottle. Clear gold beer - not much head. Crisp palate. Just a tiny bit of hop aggression. The honey is supposed to give a sweet finish but only manages to prevent a bitter one. A bit watery.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask, gravity, at 7th Devonshire Arms Beer Festival, Bedford. Dark gold with a malt aroma. Sweet malty taste with a mid bitter finish. Bit too much fizz, I thought.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask at The White Horse, Harborne, Birmingham. Slightly cloudy amber with a short head. A lovely flowery citrus scent, mainly of tangerine. Decently bitter with a dry end. Grapefruit and oranges in the mouth, with a hint of the honey (but not as much as I expected). Really quite good.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Quite sour aroma, kinda like gueuze or something, but not as pleasant. Palate does show some of this ourness, but it has a sugary honey flavour, which i was expecting. Quite dry, with some slight yeastyness and quite carbonated as well.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask conditioned - handpump - The Globe Northampton. A copper coloured beer with a white head and lacing. The aroma is sweet and honeyed. Not overly sweet like a lot of beers with honey in. The taste is quite smooth and the honey sweetness comes through. Decent.
