| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 2, 2009 Pours a copper color with a tan head. Spicy aroma with cinnamon, nutmeg, and a hint of citrus. Nutmeg and cinnamon dominates the flavor all the way through. Flavor dies a little on the end and is a little thin. Flavor up front was decent, it just doesn’t last. brentfeesh (1041), Gadsden, Alabama, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Dec 29, 2008 22oz bottle. I used to frequent this place just before I started rating beer. Good to see something from them bottled so I could enter a rating for this brewery. Bombay mahogany colored with a light head. Malty aroma but very lightly so. Spice is there and cinnamon is just as likely as anything else I might be inclined to suggest. The flavor to me has a ginger presence even though it says there is no ginger. Cinnamon is also there and the after taste has some honey to it. A bit thin and slightly astringent but all and all I have had far worse. sersdf (1000), chicago, Illinois, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 22, 2008 This isnt that bad, idk why everyone is hating on it. It has alot of spice in it and it isnt amazing, but by no means is it bad as some people here have rated it. Good beer, glad to have had it, will have more beers from their stock if given the chance. | 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Dec 21, 2008 2007 version. Pours amber with zero head. Funky tart aroma that has traces of spices that are way past being fresh and some dark chocolate. Some spice flavor, but mostly vinegar with a metallic finish. Gross. I guess fresh woulda been the way to go for this one, but it could not have been that great to begin with if one year turns it into this crap. MAP (1089), Lakewood, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 6, 2008 Pour is a dark amber color with a modest cream head. Aroma is a funky grassy herbal note. There is a slight caramel smell to it, but its mostly funky herb notes. The flavor has a little bit more going for it. Its like a medium bodied amber ale, but with some funk to it, not skunk. The palate is pretty standard, nothing too amazing. It has a decent viscous feel and a medium crispness to the end. This could use a bit stronger of a spice/herb/vegetable side, but not bad overall. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Nov 30, 2008 2007 bottle: This beer pours a clear dark amber color with a thin light beige head that recedes quickly. Minimal lacing. Aroma of sweet spices and fruit with some vinegar in the background. Medium body with flavors of cinnamon, tart fruit and again a light vinegar taste behind it all. The finish is short and sweet with a mildly spiced aftertaste. My guess is the beer does not hold up very well despite only being a year old. Slightly below average overall. jsquire (2123), St. Marys, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 1, 2008 Reddish amber color out of the bottle with very little of a fizzy off white head. Malty nose with dusty cinnamon spice. Sweet beer with cinnamon spice, citrus rind, and an almost cherry note. And there was an odd sense about this beer that reminded me of ass. Not my favorite of the spiced Christmas beers.
