3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 patrick767 (2843) - fort wayne, USA - MAR 5, 2006
draft - Clear amber color with a thin head and a light, hoppy aroma. It feels a bit too fizzy on the palate, but has a decent hops presence. This brew is a straightforward pale ale, average or a bit below for the style.

On tap at the Oliver House part of Maumee Bay on our way to RBSG. Pours a lightly hazed orange amber. Light hops, crisp mat and caramel. Medium bodied, little bit sweet with a slightly off flavor. Earthy with some juicy hops and malt. Sweet finish with some grapefruit.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Pawola22 (2211) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 2, 2010
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear golden colored body with a thin, off-white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a light lacing. Aroma is heavy grapefruit and some earth with a bit of a dirty sock smell, although not offensive. Some caramel and a sweeter crystal offer a decent malt backing. Flavor is similar. Dirty sock grapefruit earth with a light floral. Solid caramel and crystal backing for a nice malt balance. Finishes dry with a moderate bitterness, light malt sweetness, and touch of grapefruit citrus. Medium length aftertaste following a medium-thin body and light carbonation. Overall, a decent pale ale. Fairly well hopped, but a bit funky with a solid caramel and crystal balance. If the hops were a bit different or more complex, this could be better.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Braudog (4607) - Hampton, Virginia, USA - JAN 26, 2010
Shared pint at the brewpub. Bright golden amber with little head. Very "mashy" character, with a wet, mushy hop profile. Bit on the thin side IMHO. British flavors on an American palate. (#3801, 1/22/2010)
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Dogbrick (4843) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - OCT 12, 2006
Sample at the brewpub: Pours a lightly hazed amber color with a medium thin ivory head that has good retention. Thin, spotty lacing. The aroma is citrusy hops and a touch of malt. Medium-bodied and effervescent with a hoppy character. Fruit and malt show up but not with much authority. The finish is dry and moderately bitter. Like the Buckeye Beer, this brew has flashes of something better but doesn’t appear to be putting in enough effort.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of finely sized mostly diminishing off-white colored bubbles that left behind no lacing. The body contained average carbonation, was transparent and copper brown in color. Its aroma contained notes of mild hop with some malt and some red notes . Its mouth feel is initially smooth with a slightly tingly soft palate and a hoppy aftertaste. Its flavor contained some wheat with a flat mild malt medium hop caramel aspect.

Pours light brown. Huge butterscotch taste, disgustingly so. Sweet grassy hops sneak through slightly. Not good.
