Dec 22, 2004 14 oz glass at the brewpub. Absolutely opaque thick brown with a small stubborn head...nuttiest aroma I’ve ever experienced, more oily and pungent than sweet, roastier as it warms...massively nutty in the flavor (I think it’s brewed with real hazelnuts, and a lot of ’em) though the porter roastiness isn’t totally overwhelmed...vanilla/mocha character shows up late along with some bitter coffee...body quite full and supple.
