Maumee Bay Hearty Stout

Very dark liquid wht a thin head of fine bubbles. not quite opaque. Nose is of roasted coffe. Taste is coffee. reminiscent of a weak guinness. Not as bitter, not as thick, not as tasty. Body is creamy but thin for the style. aftertaste is not enough of the good bitters.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of fine to medium sized quickly diminishing light brown colored bubbles that left behind an unnoted lacing. The body contained no visible carbonation, was opaque and dark brown in color. Its aroma contained notes of malty roasted malts chocolate . Its mouth feel is flat . Its flavor contained mild malty chocolate notes. An above average brew.

Draft at Maumee Bay Brewing Co. Very small tan head, small-large sized bubbles, sparse lacing, transparent for a stout and a dark brown hue. Nose was malty, chocolate, coffee and roasty. Malty, coffee, roasty, and dry flavor. Smooth, watery, thin and dry mouthfeel. Light body.
