Jun 24, 2008 deep amber brown with very light head. Nose is very strong hops. taste is powerful hops and maybe just a little hint of some malt. finish is good bitters. nice beer.

Aug 2, 2007 7/20/2007: Maumee Bay IPA is amber in color with a crackle-like finish. The aroma is citrus hops. The flavor has toffee malt and pine/citrus hops. Three is a moderate level of bitterness. This beer is a bit more malty than usual for an IPA. Medium body and smooth on the palate. Not bad.

Jul 20, 2007 Sampled at Brew week in Athens Ohio. Light brown, with almost no head. Very floral, almost lavender. Sweet flavor, with the lavender carries through. Light body.

Dec 18, 2005 Cask on handpull. Poured a hazy dark amber with a small frothy off-white head that lasted. Heavy cask hoppy aroma. Light to medium body. Good hoppy bitter flavor with a moderate cask smooth bitter finish.
