   AROMA 7/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 6/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 14/20
JorisPPattyn (7363) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - DEC 11, 2004
Deep-dark brown with amber shine; off-white head, reduced to rim but leaving shards of lace. Much less bready nose than most, more nutty and herbal. this is not sweet bread, but dried, old brown bread, sweetened with liquorice. Slight sourish edge, even. Reasonably full-bodied. Less characteristic, mor interesting than most Bocks. I wonder about its unusual sourish tang.

A Mes rate. Bottle at The Cads.
Amber brown with a thin off white head. Nutty and sweet on the nose with some faint oxidisation. Similar flavour with hints of caramel and chocolate. Alcohol is hidden really well. Not bad.

Bottle, thanks to EithCubes for sending it. Red chestnut, huge foamy brown head. Caramelly aroma with a hint of nuts, raisins and roast. Dry malt base - well-attenuated, sugary notes without the stickyness, burned, a hint chocolate slightly flat feeling to it. Herbal finish. Easy drinkable - very refreshing Bock.
