Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a pale amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty hoppy aroma. Sweetish malty hoppy citrus flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter citrus finish.

On tap at the brewpub. A clean, dry, unostentatious but quite satisfying IPA. Bright orange pour with a billowy head. Fairly pungent nose, dry citrus rind and a kiss of flowers. Mouthfeel is - as per usual with ML’s beers, I came to realize - a bit insubstantial. But the beer is flavorful and refreshing and went down well on several occasions over a warm Halloween weekend.

UPDATED: AUG 15, 2010 On cask (gravity pour) at the brewery. Golden with very minimal carbonation, no head. Lightly floral and hints of caramel/candy sweetness. Hoppy. Spicy and floral hops on a still but reasonably malty body. Light bodied and dry. Good.

Nice clear amber with plentiful head. The hops in the aroma are a little sappy with a nicely spicy note balancing it out. Slightly ragged bitterness is balanced by sweetness of the malt. Excellent IPA.

Pour was brighty amber with nice floral nose. This thing must’ve had some Centennial hops in it, my favoritest hop. Floral bouquet over caramel malty background. Smooth mouthfeel, rich flavor and moderate bitterness. By far the best Max beer I’ve had yet.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a lightly hazed, deeper orange-golden colored body with an inch thick, dense, frothy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is resiny grapefruits and tangerines with some other citruses and a lightly sweetened caramel. A good amount of pine and a hint of herbal spicing. Flavor is similar. Lots of piney grapefruits and tangerines with a light hop spice. A thinner, but not watery caramel that balances just enough to allow the hops to shine. Finishes dry with a moderate bitterness and a lengthy aftertaste. Lighter body with a light to moderate carbonation. Overall, a solid brewpub IPA. Well hopped with a pleasant bitterness. Good one.

Tap. Hazy orange amber color. Huge resin citrus hop aroma. Flavor is a nice sweet, heavy malt bodied with lots of pine and citrus hops. Gotta love an ATL hop bomb. Very very bitter, a bit on the stronger side for Max Lagers as well. My friend Lizzie loved it!
