Neutral aroma and slighty dark appearance. Lacey. Sour off-taste dominated over any maltiness,if peaty and smokey then just too old, not finishable.

Appearance: hazy amber, solid tan head and nice lace,

Appearance: Deep amber, thin beige head, solid lace, rich malt aroma and dry carmel malt flavor, just enough hops to keep it in balance and from showing any sweetness, a lot of peat shows up in the finish after just a bit of warming, the carmel starts coming throuqh at the end of the second pint.
Overall: The first runnings of the mash was boiled with brown sugar to create a carmelized sugar character.

Flavor: lots of sweetness, lots of carmel, a hint of body eventually shows, was better before this year’s batch of yeast caused too much attenuation,

Pours a clear copper amber with a thin ring of white head. Nice, sweet toasty caramel and mild peat aroma. Starts semi-sweet, lightly earthy and caramel malty with good authenticity and viscosity. An enjoyable Scotch ale.

Brownish red, with a frooty malt aroma. Rich and sweet at the start, then has a earthy flavor, too. Seems a bit lacking somewhere. Sampled at the Great Atlanta Pub Crawl, 2004.

Dark amber with sticky head and lacing. The aroma is nutty and sour. The flavor is caramelly & sweet with a smooth finish, not too bad.

Draft @ the downtown location. Poured a clear dark golden amber color. The aroma was sweet and fruity. A little grapey. Malty caramel flavor with notes of cola and fruity. Actually reminds me of a Dr. Pepper. Medium bodied.

Dark leathery brown big creamy head. Mouthfeel is impressively creamy. Good a sweet malty. Might have benefitted from a little peatiness but a great dessert beer. Just enough citric hop bite in aroma and flavor.

Reddish brown appearance. Nice malty aroma. Flavor is malty with some cherries, grapes, and spices. Somewhat of a nutty backbone. Pretty good just not great.

Watery malt, diacetyl and artificial flavors. Looked like an amber lager. Quite possibly the worst Scottish Ale I've had. Obviously filtered though the menu said it wasn't. Sugary, pure yeast aroma.

It started as thin and did not make up from there. I want that heavy and thick malt flavor in a scotch ale and this was just a little short
