This is a classic Helles style beer with a deep golden color, low hop bitterness and subtle malt sweetness. A perfectly refreshing beer for when the temperature starts to rise and the days get longer… Here’s to Spring!

5/20/15. On tap at Bleu Cafe during a VORLAUF meeting. Clear golden pour, small off-white head. Doughy aroma, lightly sweet, straw, a bite of grassiness and lemon peel. Okay flavor, sweeter than I expected or wanted, doughy, straw, lemon, grassy. Not bad.

On tap at the cafe. Clean, sweet Helles. Standard dark gold. Hay, cereal, sweet grains. Medium bodied for a Helles. Drinkable but nothing special

Clear golden pour as part of a flight at Max Lagers in downtown Atlanta. Creamy white head. Aroma of hay, lager yeast, a little sweetness. Flavor follows as expected for a Helles, with a finish less clean than I like in my brews. Overall not a bad beer for the style, but just not a style I get amped up about.

Draft to taster at the downtown brewpub. Looks good for the style; a transparent gold with white lacing. Smells of dough and lager yeast with a touch of hops. Tastes like it smells with a solid mouthfeel. A decent Helles.

Wood brown in color with minimal white head. Taste of yeast, hops and a tangy bitterness. Mild in flavor and easy to go down.

On draft at the brewpub, poured a light golden color, aromas of cereal, grain, and some candi sweetness. Flavors are the same, light hop flavor as well.
