Cask at Shakespeares, Sheffield. Reddish brown clear pour with a bubbly broken head. An amazingly rich fruity aroma with raisin notes. Quite a sweet ale with medium bitterness and very little on the palate. Its 6% but the alcohol isnt overpowering. This is one for a winter fireside. A heart warming ale!

Gravity dispense at the twelfth Twickenham Beer Festival - 18/10/12. Opaque chestnut brown with a thin tan head. Toffee dominated nose with a little honey, light treacle, touch of herbs and mint. Tastes of dark caramel malt, booze, biscuit, nutty, dark fruits and toffee fudge. Full bodied with a fruity bitter finish.

Cask, The Francis Newton, Sheffield, UK. Dark brown, off white head. Raisin and cough medicine aroma, some prunes. Massive artificial cherry like flavour, some clove and Juniper. All quite cough medicinal, without the sweetness at least. Not sure about this one.

Dark red or ruby in colour, keeping a lovely smooth head. Has a sweet taste with fruits evident that give it a slight kick in its aftertaste.

Pint at spoons in Sunderland. I’ve had this in the bottlet as well.Deep ruby red, with an off white head. Fruit and nut toffee aroma. Red berries in the flavour with a hint of Spanish licquorice bitterness. Sticky creamy mouthfeel, full bodied, ABV spot on, a good pint to savour.
