3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask, Just J D Wetherspoons. Colchester. 7th May 2015.
White lacing. Copper bronze appeaeance. Fruity yeast esters, red berry, clove and coriander. A tad musty and sweet. Slight old socks but I don’t mind that for the style. Chocolate. Taste is red berry, chocolate, woodruff, Wild English berry, mild bitterness. I think this is something like a mild meets a Fuller’s Esb. Roasting is low to moderate.
