Almost black with beige head. Strange: the aroma and the taste remember me, for some strange reason, the Grimbergen dubbel, but with some chocolate/coffee ending. Good.

bottle, 330 ml Appearance::black with a mid-sized beige foamy head. Aroma: roasted malts, coffee, , hint of biscuit Taste: Nice roasted bitterness from the malts, some coffee, some slight biscuit notes. Aftertaste is nice bitter with light dark chocolate notes Medium body (good drinkable), average carbonation. Good allround stout , I would clearly pick this one over the Maximus Stout 6. Which is not as refined as this one.

Tap @ Maximus, medium sample. Dark brown color, medium creamy brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, hint of biscuit. Medium malty bitter taste, bit biscuity and caramelly sweetness as well. Lovely beer.

Barwa: ciemno brązowa, lekko prześwitująca pod światło. Piana koloru kremowego, drobno pęcherzykowa, początkowo obfita, stosunkowo szybko opadająca, ale ładnie oblepiająca szkło. Aromat: zadziwiająco ubogi - mealanoidyny, ciemne słody, lekka nuta alkoholowa. Smak: zadziwiajaco dobry w odniesieniu do aromatu, choć średnio stoutowy. Lekko kwaskowy ze słodką kontrą oraz spieczonym ciastem czy skórką od chleba. Lekkie nuty owocowe i alkoholowe. Nieco zbyt jasny na stouta i praktycznie bez nut palonych. Ogólnie zbalansowany i nie drażniący zarówno pod względem smaku, jak i aromatu. Z drugiej strony możnaby określić go jako mało wyrazisty.

In short: a tasty stout.
Pours dark with nice beige head. Good head retention, good lacing. Roasty, coffee, liquorice and spicy aromas. Medium body, silky texture, soft carbonation. Taste is mild bitter, roasty, coffee, liquorice. Lingering coffee and roasty notes. Alcohol well hidden. Smooth and very enjoyable.
