From 0,33 bottle; pours clear, dark brown to black with a huge, frothy & slightly creamy, light brown head. Heavy malty aroma with roasted malts & coffee. Taste is slightly sweet and light bitter with roasted malts dominating the flavor. Finish is medium sweet and also increasing in bitterness leading to a long, medium bitter, yet sweet finish. Medium bodied with a slightly watery texture and soft carbonation. Could have been more creamy & full bodied for me, otherwise not bad.

Slight/medium aroma of malts, caramel, dried fruit, bread, liquorice, chocolate and roasted malts.

Turbid/opaque ruby/black beer with a medium beige head.

Starts medium sweet with malts, caramel, dried fruit, liquorice and chocolate; ends slightly bitter and dry with bread and roasted malts.

A tasty, rather complex and balanced stout. Could have been more intense to give him a more distinct character.

Well hello there good-lookin’, how you doin’? Pours a mysterious, very deep brown body with a large, creamy, light tan head that finally settles as a thin and everlasting layer that decorates the glass with curtains of foam. Malty, fruity, sweet and quite strong aroma of roasted malt, mild coffee and generic fruitiness, with a sprinkle of ash in the back. Strong flavour of roasted malt, coffee, a good amount of generic fruits and ashy hints. Light to moderate sweet taste with a moderate bitter and long-lasting finish. Close to full body, smooth texture, soft carbonation. A nice one, I really like the unusual mix of roasted malt and the pronounced yeasty fruitiness. It’s nowhere near a BIPA, the fruits don’t feel hoppy at all.

Bottle: Very deep amber coloured, pretty stable medium-sized off-white head; moderate sweet nose of molasses, dried fruits and toasted malt, a delicate fruity acidity is detectable; moderate sweet-sourish flavour plus a faint tartness, medium bodied; lingering toasty and malty finish, accompanied by some dried fruits. Nice…

Röstiger, weich malziger Antrunk. Geringfügig nach Schokolade, minimal alkoholisch. Die Malzigkeit steigt leicht, dahinter zeigt sich nach und nach der Hopfen. Süffig, rund. 11/10/9/10/8/10

Bottle. Pours a deep brown, near-black body with a small light beige head. Nose is caramel, nuts, dark malts, grains and hints of toffee and brown sugar. Taste is caramel, grains, nuts, burnt sugar and hints of muscovado sugars, bread and dark chocolate. Medium to full body, medium carbonation. Decent enough stout in the "Belgian tradition" with no big surprises.
