COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Potus non frangit ieiunium." - “Drinking does not break the fast“- an ecclesiastical principle to which strong beer owes its origin. The clever monks and castle owners created their strengthening refreshment for the long 40-day fast period before the Easter celebration. Jubilator is a full double-malt beer, which one recognizes in Bavaria by the “-ator" suffix.

Bottle 500 ml
Aroma: fruity-malty heft nose. Fell of true bock. Straight and simple but well-presented character of Bock beer. 7+
Appearance: dark amber-brown with plus sized creamy top. Good lace.
Flavour/Palate: fully bodied. Chocolate with fruity malts, hints of plum, raisin sweetness and alcohol. Late vanilla shown paired with alcohol.

The bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass quite dark, nice head. Starts strong, a bit alcoholic, not too much. Quite roasty-malty with a smokey touch, also some coffee notes. Finish well balanced, less malty. All in all a bit too roasty for my taste, but still a good doppelbock!

(bottle) pours a clear dark copper-ruby colour with a frothy beige head. aroma of bubble gum, marshmallow, heavy toffee and caramel, with a light earthiness. flavour is roasted malts, light dark fruits and herbal hops over a biscuit and brown sugar base, not too sweet. full-bodied with average carbonation.

500 mL bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA, opened 7/9/11. Pours a clear reddish brown color with a medium sized frothy tan head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of banana, nutty notes, toffeeish malts. The taste is toffee, nutty notes, caramel, banana and faint hops in the finish. Comes across a bit like banana nut bread. Medium bodied. Decent.

Pours a brown color with an off white head. Smells like wheat and caramel. Brown sugar is also in the aroma. Creamy mouth feel. Has a little burnt taste to it. Oodles of caramel in the taste!
