COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Schloss Gold is the best known of all Maxlrainer beers. The unique Maxlrainer brewing water, as well as the conscientious choice of the finest ingredients create its distinctive mild, wholehearted taste and its delightful freshness. The aging process, which lasts 4 to 6 weeks in the cool warehouse cellars of Schlossbrauerei Maxlrain contribute to the harmonious taste of the beer, which has been for many years awarded the gold DLG medallion.

glennmastrange (2240) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - JUL 6, 2014
Bottle. Moderate grain and straw for the malt, light grass for the hops, with hints of cooked vegetables. Head is large, frothy turning rocky, white with excellent lacing and good legs, and is mostly lasting. Color is sparkling clear gold. Flavor starts faintly sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes faintly acidic and lightly bitter. Palate is light, watery with a lively carbonation and a dry finish. Light, crisp and easy to drink Helles.

mile (2937) - Helsinki, FINLAND - NOV 9, 2013
Bottle. Light golden, small to average and fully diminishing head. Light to moderate malty - lightly grainy and sweetish aroma. Light to medium, malty - lightly grainy and sweetish flavor, faint alcohol. Finish is short to average, malty - lightly grainy and sweetish, faint metal and light alcohol. Too much alcohol considering the body of the beer. Lacks hoppyness.

Light gold, moderate pillowy white head; aroma of straw/hay; malty taste, sweetish citrus fruit which lingers; very well carbonated, pricky; straightforwardly refreshing, if a little too sweet/cloying after a while.

Flasche 50cl. Helles Export mit dem typisch metallischen Abgang. Sehr süffig, offensichtlich gutes Wasser in Maxlrain.
