Schlossbrauerei Maxlrain brews the Schloss Weisse according to a traditional recipe; the beer retains a much darker color, in much the same manner as it was brewed centuries ago. Schloss Weisse receives its fresh, distinctive, full-bodied taste through a brewing process using selected roasted malt, fine aromatic hops as well as the pure Maxlrainer water. Brewed according to Bavarian brewery regulations, Schloss Weisse reveals its premium quality in its unique, reclosable bottles.

Swing-top by 05.04.12/0057. Wheat nose leans toward phenols and minerals. Re-orange gradient with a creamy beige head. Taste is lightly sweet and nice and fruity, wheat and a nice yeast contribution reveal themselves toward the end, apple and berry linger into the finish. Soft medium body. Without a doubt, one of my favorite DWs, and probably because it is so unlike a normal DW.

Bottle looks really good, beer in the glass also, quite zippy, nice head. Starts mild, modest malty-yeasty, modest fruity. Not too dry. Finish mild, a bit moldy, could be a bit more intense. Okay.

After the beer was served in the glass there was found a lasting quantity wall adhesive light brown foam collar which was fine and even of structure. The beer also contained much carbonic acid in the glass. The beer has a thick dark blond and a sweet taste. The after tast of the beer is hoppy bitter with a banana touch . This beer smells to banana.

Bügelverschlußflasche (von Jonas!): Light amber to amber coloured, stable creamy off-white head; bubblegum and traces of vanilla in the sweet-wheaty nose; light to moderate sweet flavour with a very faint sourish touch, quite soft, light to medium bodied; slightly lingering wheaty and dark-malty finish with a slight bitter end. Pleasant..........

(swing top bottle) Hazy, chestnut-brown colour with a big and dense slightly off-white foamy head. Sweet and slightly spicy yeasty aroma with wheat-malt and notes of bubblegum, caramel, cloves and vanilla. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderately carbonated mf. Wheaty and slightly dark malty taste with notes of bubblegum and a rather restrained fruit character, except for some notes of berries; almost dry and slightly bitter finish with wheaty and fruity notes, as well as a touch of herbal hops. Worked for me. 28.VII.10
