On gravity at Gloucester beer festival, 23/3/2013. Copper coloured with a slight, off-white head. A fruity bitter with some caramel, a touch of hedgerow hop and gently bitter finish. Ok.

smells of vinegar and slightly oaked? Can taste a bit of malt but has an overriding tastes of vinegar. Dark brown head and looks flat. I would say this beer is off but I feel it could be nice.

Cask at Pigs Ear. Cloudy dark brown beer! Bubbly pale tan head. Light dry palate. Malt dominates the somewhat insipid Summit hops. Dry finish. Expecting so much more from a Summit hopped beer.

Bottle from the Hop Pocket, Bishops Frome, kindly purchased for me by Loz 18.03.12 consumed 21.03.12 Mmmhh.. I was hoping for some good things from this new brewery but alas its very much a malty beer that offers little else. The nose has some dark sugars and has a sort of unfinished feel about it, touch of dusty old spirit. Taste is malty and whilst better than the nose it just feels like a work in progress, the hops are difficult to pick out but there is a very slight bitterness after the malt heavy front. I’m not really a fan, little bit of cocoa, yes not my thing really. Hazy dark brown with very little head of note. A5 A3 T5 P2 Ov10 2.5
