Pours murky brown, a bit of a ruby tinge, beige bubbles, a slop of sediment comes out despite a careful pour. Aroma- lots of dark malts, bready, yeasty, chocolate and cocoa notes. Taste- chocolatey hints, malt, slight vinous undertones, bitter coffee hints in the aftertaste. Easy drinking, pretty good.

Perfect allrounder - Bright amber with a sweet aroma. The bitter taste comes as a surprise and hits the spot.

Top ruby ale, great colour with a nice head. Packed full of malty flavour with a smooth aftertaste. Could drink a lot of this!

On gravity at Gloucester beer festival, 23/3/2013. Copper coloured with a slight, off-white head. A fruity bitter with some caramel, a touch of hedgerow hop and gently bitter finish. Ok.

smells of vinegar and slightly oaked? Can taste a bit of malt but has an overriding tastes of vinegar. Dark brown head and looks flat. I would say this beer is off but I feel it could be nice.

Amber colour with a quick dissapating head and lace. Fruity malt aroma. Malt aroma. Malt, sopay sour flavour. Off? Harsh.

Unclear medium to dark red brown color with a small to average, frothy and open, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, soft roasted, dark berries. Flavor is light moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20111208]

Cask at Pigs Ear. Cloudy dark brown beer! Bubbly pale tan head. Light dry palate. Malt dominates the somewhat insipid Summit hops. Dry finish. Expecting so much more from a Summit hopped beer.
