Cask conditioned - handpump - Black Horse Walcote. An orange coloured beer. A lovely malty hoppy mix to the aroma and the taste. Some crunchy oatsy notes to the taste. Quite fruity also. Different but very nice.

Gravity, Dover BF. Warm copper with a small layer of dirty white. The aroma of slogging around in a swamp. On one hand, green and earthy, on the other hand, sulfur and decay. Lively and interesting, but not necessarily good. Much fresher hop flavor than the aroma would indicate. Well-blended robust bitterness. Soft palate. Some nice points, but overall kind of sloppy.

Cask gravity at White Cliffs BF 2007. Pale chestnut colour with lasting bubbly beige head. Sour lemon zest aroma. Good condition in mouth. Decent biting hop. Slightly more citrus and less dry fruity malt than you would expect in an ESB, but competent enough. Even a bit of coffee powder towards the finish.

Dover Fest 2007. First beer of the festival. Wow! Mmmmm. Fruit and woody hops in exquisite harmony - both wonderfully present and making themselves known, but neither assertive or dominating, just melding together to create a beautiful whole. Demerara sugar sweetness; suggestion of chocolate; orange fruit and tree bark bitterness. Yummy. Yummy. Yummy.

Cask Handpump at the Bar Fringe, Manchester 18/10/2006 Some fruit aroma. Bronze amber coloured and slightly fruity with some alcohol present. A little bitterness in a crisp and dry finish.
