3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from the Dodgi’ Deli’, Cowley Road, Oxford 15-09-09 consumed the same day Pours amber with slight haze might be a white head but it had disappeared before I started taking notes. Touch of toffee with some fruitiness the hops struggle to show any assertiveness. Starts really well with a good nice chewy ripe fruitiness but then becomes a touch dusty and sadly ends nowhere near as good as it starts off, for all of that I enjoy it despite the dustiness. Bottle from Hay Wines, Ledbury, Herefordshire. Lightly hazed, pale amber colour. Thin, white head. Slightly fusty, bready, damson jam aroma. Sweet malt is the initial taste, then a mid dry graininess. Slightly clacky palate. Short, off dry finish.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
500ml bottle from Lucksall campsite cafe. Slight ashtray bitterness, mild fruits, pleasant earthiness but essentially something missing, and believe me I was in no fit state to work out what it was.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
BC from Arden Wines. Dusky red gold with a skim of white froth. Leafy sweet nose with the Amarillo to the fore and notes of peach, orange, sweat, ganja, varnished wood and dunked biscuits. Bittersweet and balanced with stewed Darjeeeling and dunked custard cream (or it could be Jammy Dodger) malts, husky nut undertones, lime and marmalade tang, a spicy citrus hint like raw green chilli. Dry hop and nutty malt finish with sweet biscuity and vaniila afters. Very decent.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask conditioned at Far from the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Gold to amber with white head. Slightly dry and tinny initially, with a fruity, biscuity note, like a jammy dodger but with peach jam. Some herbal hops in the close, reasonable.
