3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
CBC Bomber bottle and served in my GI IPA tulip: Pours a hazy golden hue with a lovely initial frothy head and spotty lace. The aroma has notes of Belgian yeast (clove, banana, minerals) along with herbal, resiny and grassy hop esters. Some grapefruit and mango as well. The taste is moderately hop forward but enough Belgo yeasts notes to let you know they are there. Fruity without kicking your face in, earthy without eating a bowl of dust. The palate is surprisingly light, slightly chalky and metallic. A solid brew all around but still not sure it kept me wanting more.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle poured a hazy brilliant honey color with a medium soapy white head and intense lacing. Aroma is a wonderful blend of passionfruit, citrus, bubblegum, and honeycomb cereal. Taste begins with a wonderful burst of juicy tropical fruit and citrus zest followed by a wave of citrus and resin hops leading to a well balanced finish. Sweet and palatable bitterness flavors linger after each sip. Very enjoyable Belgo DIPA.

22oz bottle from Party Source, shared with robotopera. Bottled 2/07/13. Labeled under the "Cambridge Brewing Co." name. Mostly hazy darker orange color. Thin off-white head. Couple bits of lace. Nice zesty orange citrus flavor. Some lightly sweet belgian yeast. Bigger body. Good, smooth crisp lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Good big bitter taste, lighter sweet. Good double belgo IPA.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled. Clear amber color, short off-white head. Aroma of spicy belgian yeast, grassy hop, bit pine, hint of grapefruit. All quite soft, but decently balanced. In taste it’s quite dry and medium bitter, but the belgian yeast gives this crispy drying feel that doesnt match with the bitterness competely. Belgian yeast esters make it a bit more sharp and give a hint of alcohol as well and the bitterness is not carried by any creaminess. Choice of hops for the aroma seem to be much better in balance.
