Good aroma, sweet. Fruity, Apricot, berry, toffee. Clean golden orange color, ok head, and lace. Bitter flavor, like aroma, but has a bitter streak, lemon/grassy. Medium body, creamy oily mouthfeel, bitter finish. Very nice ipa, this went down fast. The aroma was delightful. A nice one to have, well worth finding. shigadeyo (1342), Southwest Ohio Area, Ohio, USA Apr 28, 2008 4/20/2008: Mayflower IPA has a clear, golden amber color with a lasting, foamy off-white head. The aroma and flavor both showcase the herbal, piney, and lightly citrusy hops. This beer has a noteable amount of bitterness that is slightly abrasive, but not too far out of balance or too intense. The bitterness is held in check by a decent level of biscuit malt that seems to have a really mild honey sweetness to it. The beer has aa medium body and is slightly oily on the palate. Overall Mayflower IPA is flavorful, balanced, and would make for a good sessionable IPA.
Pint (draught) at The Publick House in Brookline, MA. Rating #1 for this beer...
