3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Short off white head produced little lacing over a somewhat hazy golden to brown brew.
Aroma of grapefruit and citrus hit first with some hoppie undertones.
Medium bodied with refreshing carbonation. The hops didn’t hit me in the first sip but a second try had a nice, if short, shot of the bitter hops. Somewhat sweet at the beginning with that lovely floral in the middle.
Very refreshing. A brew that is great in its balance rather than any distinguishing feature.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very nice IPA. I may be a bit inflated here. In any case, good strong hops on the nose and strong bitterness throughout. Good east coast IPA.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
pint at Sunset Grill. Good aroma, sweet. Fruity, Apricot, berry, toffee. Clean golden orange color, ok head, and lace. Bitter flavor, like aroma, but has a bitter streak, lemon/grassy. Medium body, creamy oily mouthfeel, bitter finish. Very nice ipa, this went down fast. The aroma was delightful. A nice one to have, well worth finding.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
4/20/2008: Mayflower IPA has a clear, golden amber color with a lasting, foamy off-white head. The aroma and flavor both showcase the herbal, piney, and lightly citrusy hops. This beer has a noteable amount of bitterness that is slightly abrasive, but not too far out of balance or too intense. The bitterness is held in check by a decent level of biscuit malt that seems to have a really mild honey sweetness to it. The beer has aa medium body and is slightly oily on the palate. Overall Mayflower IPA is flavorful, balanced, and would make for a good sessionable IPA.
Pint (draught) at The Publick House in Brookline, MA. Rating #1 for this beer...
