COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
As the British Empire expanded, English brewers added extra hops to keep beer fresh for increasingly long sea voyages. The beer on board the Mayflower shared this trait. Mayflower IPA puts a descendant’s twist on this style, with a powerful hop profile balanced by plenty of malt character. We use the freshest hops from the Pacific Northwest to give this beer its distinct, piney flavor and delightful, fruity aroma.

Sampled at the NH Brewfest. An average IPA with plenty of hops, but little in the way of malt balance... a common mistake...

Draft. Pours orange with white head that lingers. Nice hop aroma with mild carbonation. Grapefruit and Banana flavors. Solid ipa with some complexity. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Has fruity yeast aroma, About a finger head on top of mildly haze pale orange body. Bitter piney intro to the taste with a sour note. Has a hint of malt character. Tasted real good on tap on a cruise of Plymouth Harbor where the original Mayflower landed. Was just as good from the bottle. Makes a good intro to this style of brew as it’s not over powering. A good "go to" IPA.

Really nice crispness and hoppiness to this one, definetely its best attribute. A bit of fresh flavor at the end. Nicely dry. A good daily drinker

Going for the old school bitter IPA, I get that piney resiny flavor, which is good and all but needs some more punch, a thorough dry hopping might be better. Standard IPA. would work well for an intro to the style.

Hazy gold. mild, yeasty nose. Med bodied, light hop, a little watery on the finish. Closer to an apa in style

Bottle. Relatively subdued aroma for an IPA. Below average hop flavor and mouth feel for an IPA. Slightly bitter finish. There are much better IPAs out there, both micro and microbreweries.

12oz bottle. Small white head atop crystal clear amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, pine, some bread, grapefruit. Taste is moderately sweet, pine, some bread, light lemon. Medium body, fairly resinous.

An excellent east coast ipa. Not aggressive in any way for a beer that has a higher abv. Though mostly reliant on a stronger malt character, the hops are quite pronounced, leading to a (rare) balanced ipa.

Draught in Plymouth. Orange yellow. Small white head. Bitter hops. OK. Not amazing ...
