3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Very hoppy floral aroma. Sweet as opposed to bitter scent. Copper color, just a little haze. A little bitterness, lots of sweet maltiness, then finishes bitter again. Nice light IPA for gradually warming weather.

Rcvd in trade.
The appearance was an amber/copper colored body with a one finger white foamy head that lasted about a good minute before dieing into the body. There was some nice adequate somewhat ringy lacing that clung all around.
The smell had citrusy hops up front with a nice light caramel malts ever so delicately in the background.
The taste had a super nice citrus sweet to caramel sweet that eloquently manages to lead to the same aftertaste and adds in a dry sort of caramel finish.
The palate sits about a medium on the body with a decent carbonation that is good for an American Amber/Red ale and for me.
Overall, gee weez, I wasn’t expecting this one to be as good, but it sure got a big wow from me. Way to go Mayflower. I’d trade for this again.

I Have generally found beers from this brewery a little ho hum, but not this one. To me, it falls somewhere between a hoppy pale ale and an understated ipa. Resiny and earthy and very refreshing.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 ounce bottle poured an amber color with aromas of light pine and light citrus with an herby flowery back end on the aroma. Flavors are the same a basic IPA nothing that was over the top.

Overall, a really good take on a hoppy amber ale with a nice spicy, malty backbone finish. These guys may have something going for them.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle that appears to be stamped 1/3013. It might just be smudged. The pour is a decent looking medium amber with a thin head and stagnant carbonation. The aroma is like the flowers of spring with floral hops and biscuit malts. The body is light to medium with a slight acidity. The taste has a solid hop character all around with a moderate bitterness that does not linger long.

Much darker than I was expecting. Nice hop aroma and flavor. Medium to light body with a moderate malt backbone.
