UPDATED: DEC 21, 2013 Mazama Brewery, Draft: This was my favorite beer of the night...being a hop head, that would make sense. This brewery is focusing on Belgian syle beers, and they do good job, but I still will take a good NW IPA when I can find one. Good job guys. Good beer...good slate to choose from.
* update...I tried the new batch #4, side by side with batch #3. Significantly better. Crisper, cleaner, better aroma. Kudos to the brewer for making some adjustments. Adjusted my score to compensate.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a brownish orange, little head. Aroma slightly resinous, toffee and caramel notes as well. Body medium lively, finish is intense, sweetness, almost a doughy quality, lingering finish. Not my favorite IPA, but there is a lot going on here, and I see potential.
