3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: DEC 21, 2013 Mazama Brewery, Draft: This was my favorite beer of the night...being a hop head, that would make sense. This brewery is focusing on Belgian syle beers, and they do good job, but I still will take a good NW IPA when I can find one. Good job guys. Good beer...good slate to choose from.
* update...I tried the new batch #4, side by side with batch #3. Significantly better. Crisper, cleaner, better aroma. Kudos to the brewer for making some adjustments. Adjusted my score to compensate.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle:   Solid IPA, hoppy but not bitter.   Citrus peel, a touch sweet up front, followed by some pith on the backside.   Orangish, nice head and lacing.   Clean, nothing off about this.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Pith and citrus peel on the finish.   Nothing earth shattering, but its a solid IPA that goes down easy.   Flavorful without being overly bitter.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, shared with the brewery boys. Hazy light orange, white head. Lemony, slightly tart hop character, dry bitter finish. Very astringent. Just ok.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Orange with a tall, off-white head. Fresh and sweet fruity aroma. Some floral backed by citrus backed by sweet malts. Medium bodied. Flavor is more rusty hop/malt profile than the aroma leads one to believe. Some deep resin and citrus hops with doughy caramel to stand it up. Good, full IPA.

Draught at Craftsman. Average pine/citrus hop profile. sweet malt, sharp bitter finish. Meh, not much of an eruption, probably far from its top-condition I guess.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cloudy light amber color, generous head. Mild aroma, a bit yeasty and footy, cereally. The malt is not expressive, the yeast is muddled, a bit harsh, strong bitterness, with a hint of bitter orange.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
22 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy orange with a huge white head. Aroma is full of orange rinds, resinous and citrus hops, and biscuity malt. Flavour is really well-balanced, with lots of resinous and piney hops, light orange fruits, and just enough caramel biscuity malt. Full-bodied, balanced extremely well, and “nutritious”. Great IPA.
