Mazama Brewery, Draft: This was not my favorite beer of the night. I didn’t like the cloudy pour, and I thought it might be a tad thick. The aroma was okay, but overall, I was left disappointed. Like I said, it’s not a horrible beer, but I think they have other options that I would drink next time. Overall, this brewery has quality beer...a lot to choose from.

Cloudy dark straw yellow. Nose of Belgian yeast esters, pepper. Taste follows. Fine but not my thing.

(Bottle) Just okay. It’s good because I like the style, but not a very stand-out saison.

On tap at CBM Koenji. Pours a deep hazy orange with a fluffy white head. Aromas of banana, papaya, and yeast. Medium to medium-full body with average carbonation. Sweet on the palate with some pepper in the finish. Kind of heavy and not really refreshing for a saison. More of a blonde or Belgian style ale. Just OK.

Tap at Marciero. Thick malt nose, spice, peaches, esters. Cloudy, deep golden orange, with lace. Very extery and fruity flavor, sweey, but not too muhc, also tangy and spicy. full body. A nice Belgian blonde, not really a saison.

A glass of cloudy sunshine with a party cloudy cover. Melon aroma is a bit surprising. Fruity yeasty beer. Finishing bark note and bitterness. Kind of a starter Saison. Fruity and sweet.

From bottle. Fluffy white head over deep golden. Aroma is pepper, floral spice, light yeast, and pear. Taste is similar to taste, but there is some additional notes of bubblegum, rye, and a touch of tartness. Flavorful and smooth saison.

Fruity nose. taste of lemon, orange, pepper and tons of coriander. Maybe a slight bit of ginger in there to balance it out. Its very strong on the initial sip and then the flavor disappears pretty rapidly. enjoyable. maybe not my favorite saison.

Bomber from Made in Oregon PDX airport shop. Pours hazy orange yellow with a white head. Aromas of Belgian type esters and spice. Med body or nearly. Flavor is yeasty, fruity, spicy. Pretty dry, and turns towards earthy a bit. Fruit seems to move towards apricot/peach. This is a pretty nice ale.
