Arrrr! This Scottish Ale got my kilt all in a twist. It’s strangely sweet (almost) and has some odd pine/spice notes. Instead, I’ll take the Orkney beers anyday.

Stops just short of being sweet and malty, has just enough hop. Some Belgans get too sweet for me not this one. Great nose, color.

Definite fruity flavor. A bit sweet for my taste, but not all together bad.

Citrus, malt scent. Deep golden amber, huge head, some floaties. Big hops flavour, some spice. Great tongue tingle. Terrific Scottish Ale!

Had this one at the brewery, and was not impressed, had expected more. It is not a very complex beer, and it a little too sweet for my taste.

I drunk this one with a friend and i must say: this is one of the most underestimated beers. Lots of flavors, fruity. I surely will drink this one again.

i really enjoyed this, and found it really interesting, big fat bubbly head, dark brown in colour, malty, sweet, spicy, warming, tasty, a bit of candy floss in there aswell, but its nice and dry in the end, very pleasant.

UPDATED: JAN 11, 2004 750 ML bottle, best before End 2006: Very subtle in all ways. I would never guess this is a 8.5% beer. Lacks any true direction or flavor besides its Belgian flavored yeast. I'm going with VENOM and wishing that I saved mine for a year or two.

Not bad, not very great. Need to try it again.
