Bottle. Musty and earthy malt aroma. Reddish brown body, creamy light tan head. Malty semi-sweet flavor, with honey and some spices and fruitiness. Mild pleasant finish. Subtle, not over-powering. Very nice.

Bottle. Redbrown color. Smells berries, raisin and hops. Strange fruity taste. The body of this beer is a little thin.

A little strange for me. i really like scotch ales, this one just didnt quite do it for me. pours out a darker brown color with a decent head. aroma was sweet, malty with yeasty note to it. flavor was rather sweet with a strange after taste.

Very malty, roasty and nutty. Not as complex and fruity as many Dubbels-Brown ales, but smooth, a scotch ale with a Belgian interpretation, with slight spicy notes, including vanilla and cinnamon., and a rather dry finish for the sweetness it carries.

0.75 l bottle at Akkurat, Stockholm. Hazy reddish brown color. Sweet bready, malty and toffeish aroma with licorice. Thick sweet flavor with bread, toffee, caramel, pepper, coriander, licorice and chocolate.

On tap at Beiaard. A sweet ale. Ruby-red colored. Spicy, peppery and quite full-bodied. But very enjoyable.

Seven-fiddy ml. Pours walnut brown with a big sudsy head. Sweet malts dominate the aroma, but spices - cinnamon and nutmeg, especially - poke through. Initially burnt sugar-sweet and figgy, but finishes dry and peaty. Lingering EtOH. Mouthfeel is delightfully fizzy. A little of this goes quite a long ways, but tasty in moderation.

[Bottle] Pours a cloudy brown with a medium beige head. Aroma is basically fruit snacks and other sweet dark fruits. Flavor is a bit artificial. All malt and not much else. A little bit of smokiness in there, but it is quite subtle. Fairly dry.
