Pours a amber brown with a big frothy almond head. Aroma is caramel, malt and hop. Taste is malt, caramel with a little hop bitterness. Very well balanced. Another great brew from Achouffe.

Sweet raisens and prunes (which are not my favourite). Seems overly stewed to me. Sugary.

Tap. Dark, hazy body with a nice head. Caramel, spice, plum, Belgium yeast and dark fruits. The creaminess and bubbles balanced out pretty well. I enjoyed this beer.

Dark copper, delicate beige head. Gentle but complex caramel and fruit nose. Tastes very sweet with just a touch of sour funk and bitterness at the end. Alcohol is certainly noticeable but well integrated. The charm here is in the complexity of sweet malt/ fruit tastes and the lack of stickiness in the mouth at the end.

Has an aroma of caramel, malt and hops, with coffee notes. Pours a caramel brown haze with a thin head.Little lacing. Low carbonation level, more creamy. Just a great taste. You really can’t go wrong with any of the Chouffe’s.

Bottle - Murky dark red/brown. Huge beige head. Fairly good lacing. Low carbonation. Medium to full bodied. Caramel malts, dark fruits, spicy. Alcohol only just shines through. Very nice.

nice mellow artisian brew with coriander spice, hops and an old plum flavor that mellows fine when well rested after opening. fine bread pudding flavor and consistancy. bit of alcohol present it is more a brown ale as written on the bottle. good dough and yeasty mouthfeel. still bright in the sweetness.

330mL bottle. Pours a hazy brown with a frothy tan head that slowly settles. Subdued aroma of dark fruit, belgian yeast and alcohol. Fairly sweet, some sourness. Medium bodied, average carbonation and fairly creamy on the palate with a light bitter finish.
